The Ramon crater is the biggest crater in the world. It’s about 40×10 km. This picture (which will placed here later…) was taken from Mitzpe Ramon which is a small town just at the edge of the crater. During afternoon we had a trip inside the crater.
Ein Avdat is a canon with a river inside, in the middle of the desert. It got it’s name after the Nabateaen? (Nabateus) king. The nabateans were traders 2000 years ago. They had big caravans (few thousand camels) and they were the only people who knew how to cross the desert from the far-east to Gaza.
This is Odelia, our madricha and Daliya our hebrew teacher and tour-guide.
Today we’ve had an excursion for all the day. We’ve been to Ein Avdat, in the Ramon crater and Mitzpe Ramon. See the explanations above.
