Tiyul “hashichrur” D81

Yesterday afternoon we went to a small trip to the south. It got it’s name
after “milchemet hashichrur” – the independence war – because we visited a
few places that played important roles in 1948 to stop the Egyptian army to
get to Tel Aviv.

First we went to Yad Mordechai. For those who are looking at a map now:
Start from Gaza, and go a littlebit north. We saw a battlefield and a shoa
(holocaust) museum there. Then we went norther, following the events of the
war. We saw Giva 69 (you won’t find it on the map, but it’s next to Kibutz
Nitzanim), then went a littlebit more north to see the old Nitzanim (they
moved to another place after the 1948 war) and we finnished our trip – just
as the Egyptians – at Gesher ad halom.

For this weekend I think I go home – to Kiryat Ata.
Shabat shalom!

Shavua tov! D-76

This long weekend passed by. During shavuot night I was learning all night,
’till 5am, then we went to the morning prayer, which took about 2 hours.
Then I slept for all day, except for lunch :)

Right after shavuot everybody had to stay in the kibutz for the closed
shabat. We had some peulot, so it was not so boring as last weekend :)
We also played some games (it’s better if not just about 5 people stay for
shabat…) At the end of the day (on seuda shlishit) everyone had to talk
about something that is very important to himself. Because (or not just
because) Mitch, the rabbi talked about his mother, when he introduced this
program 2 months before, almost everyone took pictures from family. I “also”
was speaking about the family tree, and why is it important.

Tomorrow a regular week starts, with no trip, no holiday, just work and
ulpan. I start at 6:30 in the lul (chicken farm) as usually…
Layla tov!

Exams and some experience in Austria

Juti! I really like your pictures! We’re in Hungary from 31th of May util 16th of June and we might see more of your stories?! :-)
Gábor! Thank you for this opportunity to having fun reading and writing on this news site! :-)
So, I just came back from Hungary Szombathely from my college day before yesterday. My teacher sad my Hungarian is so bad, and it is almost unacceptable. :( But I am sure it is much better than my English!!!
So at this moment I switch back to Hungarian. Sorry!
Most a Ryanair-rel 12500 HUF Graz-London-Graz. :-))
Minden jót mindenkinek!

Muncheni beszamolo

Ma reggel Klausszal varost neztunk. Voltunk egy 304 lepcsos toronyban, onnan
korulneztunk.
A muzeum utann a
Varoshaza ele mentunk, mert a deli kolompkor a Varoshaza babjai aranyos zenere
tancolnak. Aztan ettunk. Mariannal mosogattunk es atjottunk hozza levelet irni
nektek.

Viele liebe Grusse von Sara (Shari)

Futher country controlled

Joining to the newer globe-trotter tradition of the smaller Fleischers, Sara today left Hungary for about two weeks. She visits Munich, in Bayern, Germany. For not breaking totally the ‘I’-letter habit, she lives there in Impler Strasse.

Shavuot is comming – D70

We just finnished our night lesson about “praying in public”. A few
comments:
Apa, it seems, that only the israely IE-s are not able to log in to this
site :(
Eszter, welcome to the FNS!
Juti, I sent you comments in email. We all are (including the boys from
India in the ulpan :) amazed by the pictures. I hope to see all of them
soon! Don’t forget, that this is a news site, not a guest book or a forum,
so don’t except reactions after every picture.

Otherwise I’m fine. This shabat was the second I spent in the kibutz (the
1st was a closed shabat, when everybody had to stay here). I was bored, and
I don’t know why, but in the kibutz the food on shabat is less, and worse
than during the week. The only tasty I ate was the breakfast by my kibutz
family.
Last week we got two, today the third transit of small chickens (each
transit is almost 10.000!!!) They are sweet, the only fact that makes me
worry a little bit is, that the first ones are already growing, they have
bigger and bigger nails day by day… In a few weeks the whole place will be
like a battlefield :(

This friday is Shavuot. For those who heared less about it, this is the
holyday for the giving of Tora. It’s a custom, that jews study together all
night long, which I’m sure will be very interesting here in Yavne.
The shabat right after shavuot is closed, so I’ll have to be here again. I
tried to fix a little toranut (Moti, help me to explain and translate this
to english!) [it’s a free “work” on holyday. Usually people serve food to
the others in the dining hall, or feed the animals. There are “certain”
places where it includes dish-washing :) ] for next shabat, so I’ll have
more things to do (and that I won’t have to do it never again later
hopefully :)

Chag sameach!
